Lagos heat, glossy pages, and an afterparty that screamed main character energy.
Lagos heat, glossy pages, and an afterparty that screamed main character energy.
On a beautiful Saturday evening, Unruly turned the dial all the way up with its electric debut launch party at Severenature. Hosted by Unruly’s founder, Tobi Efunnowo and curated by the sharp minds behind the scenes, the evening marked the official release of Volume one of Unruly’s photobook series: “Detty December” with Vogue Boys as the cover stars.
The day kicked off strong with a fireside-style chat featuring the legends themselves, Ebuka and Chisom, the creative duo behind Vogue Boys. If you have partied in Lagos in the last few years, you’ve likely felt their impact. They peeled back the curtain on what it takes to shape a city’s party scene, their vision for Lagos party culture, and why documenting these moments is more than just aesthetics, but something tangible to stand the test of time.
From there, the energy only climbed. Guests mingled, flipped through the glossy pages of the photobook, and soaked up the energy that filled the space. There were games, spontaneous bursts of laughter, music that wouldn’t let you sit still, and a steady stream of signature cocktails thanks to Quacktails, who understood the assignment flawlessly.
But let’s talk about that afterparty.
As night fell, the launch became a full-blown celebration. It was a typical Lagos party showdown filled with the right energy, sleek dance moves, and people moving like they had no curfews or cares in the world. A time was had indeed!
If you missed out on grabbing your copy of the photobook, don’t stress, you can still snag one through our website or in-store at Severenature.
This is just the beginning for Unruly and we cannot wait to show you what we have more in store. So watch this space!
